During a thwarted kidnapping attempt in Dollard Des Ormeaux Monday evening, a 32-year-old man was sent to hospital with stab wounds.
According to police, a 991 call was placed around 6:15 p.m., reporting that someone was kidnapped by multiple suspects near a Starbucks on Sources and de Salaberry. Witnesses on site told the police that the victim was taken inside one of two suspicious vehicles.
Later officers tracked one of the two vehicles in Saint-Laurent. At this point, the police intercepted the vehicle, and the victim escaped and was taken to the hospital without life-threatening injuries.
A 25-year-old male suspect at the scene was arrested. Police continue to search for other suspects and the second vehicle. He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday to face charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
