The Dorval Library, in collaboration with Alphanumérique, will present the technology workshop “Understanding Algorithms” on Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m.
Mathematical formulas filter content and influence what we see on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Discover how these algorithms help us engage with the content that is most relevant or interesting to us, and learn about the negative implications, such as privacy issues and the potential impact on the opinions and interests of users.
This free workshop is open to all and will be presented at the Dorval Library, located at 1401 chemin Bord-du-Lac—Lakeshore.
