Return to the stage: Shakespeare In The Park by Repercussion Theatre

This summer, the renowned professional theater company and non-profit arts organization- Repercussion Theatre is bringing back their popular summer live show series: Shakespeare in the Park around the West Island and the island of Montreal.

After two years of not being able to execute their regular summer tour due to public health guidelines, this year’s product “All Shall Be Well” directed by Rebecca Gibian will sample some of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, songs, and sonnets dedicated to plague-related scenes depicting London 400 years ago going through a time of extreme uncertainty as we reflect and move forward in this pandemic.


There are 4 upcoming shows on the West Island:

  • Wednesday, July 27, Kirkland - Parc Ecclestone

  • Tuesday, August 2, LaSalle - Parc Marie-Claire-Kirkland-Casgrain

  • Friday, August 5, Baie-D’Urfé - Parc Fritz

Other shows around the island of Montreal are also scheduled for every day of the week except Mondays until August 6th in various neighborhoods including:

All shows are free admission, from 7-9 pm. They are presented in English with bilingual (French & English) subtitles available on Repercussion Theatre’s web application.


However, donations and VIP packages will go towards supporting the team. VIP packages have to be booked at least three days in advance through the Online Store. Three options are offered: The Classic Package, The Picnic Package, and The Bubbly in the Park Package, including perks like reserved seating. As an extension to this themed production, Geordie Theatre School and Repercussion Theatre are thrilled to partner on two workshop opportunities for children and adolescents interested in performing arts. There is an introductory 2-hour workshop Shakespeare-Before-the-Show for children ages 8-12 and a more elaborate 10-hour workshop Teen Shakespeare Intensive for adolescents ages 13-17 on August 1st & 2nd (from 10 am - 1 pm), and August 3rd (time to be confirmed).
