In the middle of a Y14 soccer game (14 years old), a spectator came down from the bleachers to attack the referee on Saturday in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. A visibly frustrated spectator punched the 17-year-old referee hard, before he was tackled to the ground by other spectators in the game. An individual filmed the attack. The game took place at Dollard 2 field, and it was the opening game of the summer season for the city's young soccer players.
The referee was injured by the punch, will make a full recovery.
