President’s Choice is providing eligible schools with bursaries to aid with the cost of food, equipment, and food-based learning programs across the nation.
Now more than ever, it is not uncommon for school hours to be the only time a child is provided with well-balanced, nutritious meals of substance. The COVID-19 pandemic brought with it intensified food insecurity for families across Canada, and the President’s Choice Children’s Charity is providing schools with grants to help combat hunger in our youth.
The charity - which offers three different grants – aims to not only provide food, but also food skills and knowledge to Canada’s young students so they can learn, grow, and find independence in the kitchen.

Power Full Kids Eat Well
This program offers up to $10,000 to eligible schools to help cover the costs of food and consumable supplies for schools with daily lunch and food services.
Power Full Kids Equipment Grant
The Equipment grant offers up to $2,000 annually to facilitate the purchase of tools and equipment necessary for schools to be able to deliver daily food programs.
Power Full Kids Grow and Cook
The Power Full Kids™ Grow & Cook program is designed to help cover the cost of tools for students or classroom equipment intended to help teachers and educators incorporate food-based learning into their curricula.
Tools for Students: Receive $50 per student, to a maximum of $5,000, for the purchase of growing OR cooking tools your students can keep.
Classroom Equipment: Receive up to $2,000 for the purchase of a growing system OR cooking equipment to be used in a classroom for education.
