New Shopping Center Capacity tool at Fairview Pointe-Claire

The COVID-19 pandemic has truly re-invented the attitude people have towards visiting a shopping mall. Current health restrictions are forcing customers to shop with a purpose rather than casually browse the stores.

You may also be hesitant to carry out in-person shopping with the possibility of large crowding and impossible social distancing in certain situations.

The Cadillac Fairview Corporation is attempting to ease customer's worries by developing a capacity tool. This allows shoppers the ability to access real-time capacity information for their favourite Cadillac Fairview malls.

When you visit the mall website, the current capacity status will be displayed at the top of the page. It will vary from "Not too busy" to "Busy".

The information is also available through the LiVE by CF app. In addition, the app allows you to navigate the mall map, view the store directory, locate hand sanitizing stations, and more.

CF has stated that once capacity reaches the “Busy” zone, they may restrict access and begin limiting entry into the mall. Expect delays and potential lineups outside. They encourage shoppers to visit the mall when it is less busy.
