Montréal has always been an entertainment industry hotspot and a magnet for large production companies and A-list actors. The West Island is no exception, and several movies have been filmed in and around the West.

"The Whole Nine Yards" (2000) - Parts of this crime-comedy movie were filmed in Pointe-Claire and Dorval. This film starring Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry, also features scenes set in Lachine. Some sequences were filmed in the Lachine Canal area, showcasing the industrial backdrop.
