March 11 is the National day of remembrance for victims of COVID-19

Today, March 11, is the National day of remembrance for victims of COVID-19.

A ceremony will take place, between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m., in the forecourt of the Parliament Building.

At 1:00 p.m., the entire population of Québec will be asked to observe a minute of silence.

The objective of the day is to give the Québec population a chance to take some time out and to pay tribute to the victims of COVID‑19, as well as to their family and friends. It will also be an opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable support of all the occupational groups and members of civil society who are on the front lines to fight against COVID‑19.

Throughout the day, a national half-masting of the flag of Québec will be observed at all public buildings of the government, of municipalities and of Québec government offices abroad.
