Majority Of QC To Enter Orange Zone; Montreal & Laval Stay In Red.

In Tuesday's press conference Premier Legault announced which regions would be going from a red to orange zone. Both the Montreal & Laval regions were not included.

According to the Premier, the following will happen:


Red to Orange zones:

Capitale-Nationale, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Outaouais, Chaudière-Appalaches, Estrie, Est du Bas-Saint-Laurent, Rimouski, Mitis, Matane et Matapédia.


Zones Staying In Red:

Municipalities of Montmagny, Islet, Beauce-Sartigan, Robert-Cliche, Granit, Rivière-du-Loup, Basques, Témiscouata, Kamouraska, Laval & Montreal.


Montréal & Laval

Minister of Public Health, Horacio Arruda stated that "It's important that the trend (of low numbers) is maintained in both these regions for a little while longer." He continued to say "Should the numbers be maintained, we will all be able to become orange zones as of Monday, June 7."

Second dose

Minister Christian Dubé stated that the government's new goal is to have all second doses administered by September, a month earlier than their original target.
