Little carollers making a big change!

Students at Sherbrooke Academy Jr have been learning about The West Island Mission: a non-profit organization that helps less fortunate families who suffer from food insecurity living in the West Island.

As part of the initiative to give back, the students will be singing around the Beaconsfield area on December 20th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

The grade one and two classes at the school have decided to go around the neighborhood caroling in exchange for monetary donations to the West Island Mission. The classes have been working hard on spreading the word from writing letters for the community to learning new songs.

The Kindergarten class at Sherbrooke Academy Jr. will be contributing to the event by baking cookies and offering them out to the families at their school in exchange for donations. They will be accepting monetary donations, non-perishable foods, or a new toy.

The executive director of the West Island Mission, Suzanne Scarrow will be at Sherbookre Academy Jr on December 21st to collect all the funds and donated collected by the students. She will also be explaining to the classes how their efforts will help families and children just like them.

Keep an eye out for little carollers in the Beaconsfield area and have your donations ready!
