On the heels of the most recent Texas shootings, parents, teachers, administration and students of John Rennie High School lived in fear for several hours today. A threat was posted on Instagram by a student from another school. The threat suggested a shooting may occur at John Rennie.
Students were held in their classrooms with little information and little contact with their parents. Some students who had their smart phones contacted their parents which kept some of the lines of communication open throughout the day.
Students were dismissed at 1 p.m. and police are still investigating.
