Free activities at the Dorval Library this month

The Dorval Library is offering two free activities to kick off the month of June.

  • June is Pride Month and presented at the Dorval Library is Story Time with the magnificent, one-and-only drag queen Barbada, who will enthrall you with her wonderful stories encouraging openness to differences and acceptance. This activity will take place on Saturday, June 11, from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (French session) and from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (English session). It is sponsored by the Friends of the Dorval Library and is designed for the whole family.

  • For dog owners or simply dog lovers, they are offering a free lecture entitled “Entre Chiens et Nous” on Wednesday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. It will be presented in French by dog trainer Nadine Caron. Whether you are a new or experienced owner or even just thinking about getting a dog, you’ll benefit from her insights into canine behavior and tips for communicating effectively with your furry friend. Participants may choose to attend the lecture in person at the library (reserved for library members) or via Zoom.
