The Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de l'Ouest-de-l'Île is pleased to announce the continuous registration period for the "Open your horizons" program, aimed at supporting young adults who need more support in their development process. This project, selected following the call for projects of the Youth on the Move Towards Employment (JME) program, is subsidized by the Government of Quebec under the Canada-Quebec Contribution Agreement in support of young people in the Quebec, in which the federal government contributes financially, more specifically through the regional component of the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.

For more than 20 years, the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de l'Ouest-de-l'Île has been actively involved in the community with young adults aged 16 to 35 in their employment, school and social goals. Our services are accessible to everyone, whatever the economic or social situation.
Several young people from the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de l'Ouest-de-l'Île are faced with challenges that have an impact on their integration and job retention. In this spirit, we are proud to promote the start of a new initiative aimed at fostering the acquisition of professional skills in a team environment. More specifically, the “Open Your Horizons” program will include 46 separate workshops offered over a 10-week period. Following this preparatory phase, participants will obtain full-time paid employment of a minimum duration of 18 weeks. To participate in the program, applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 and be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, official refugees or registered Indigenous Canadians.
There is nothing more important to our future than supporting our youth and our community today. We are convinced that the “Open Your Horizons” program will have a positive impact on our young people as well as significant spinoffs for our local businesses and our community.
