Early bird gets the Bixi membership: register now and save on a seasonal pass

April showers bring May flowers and Montreal's Bixi season. Bixi, a bike rental service across the island of Montreal launched in 2009 and has since contributed to 50 million trips.

With 700 stations throughout the island and in Laval and Longueuil, cyclists use the Bixi app to rent a bike near their departure point and subsequently drop the Bixi off at a station near their destination. Though the concept seems simple enough, the initiative has greatly contributed to the city's green footprint and enriched its tourism industry.

If you are a regular Bixi user, you may have already purchased a seasonal membership in the past. The membership, which is continuous throughout the year unless the member chooses to cancel, allows 24/7 access to Montreal's 9500 Bixi's.

Currently, Bixi is having an early bird sale that allows cyclists to purchase their seasonal membership for just $83 +tax as opposed to the usual $92 +tax.

Members get more perks than unlimited Bixi access; they also receive a discount on Communautos's FLEX service, a discount on gym memberships at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, and savings at Rachelle Béry grocery stores.

The early bird sale is on now until April 15th at 11:59 pm!
