Dorval area road closures to keep in mind this weekend.

The ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable is informing motorists that exit 53, from westbound Highway 20 towards Des Sources Boulevard, will be closed from May 5 to 8. This closure is required to undertake repair work on the beams as part of the maintenance project for the interchange.

Traffic disruptions and management

Des Sources interchange – From Friday, May 5 at 11 p.m. to Monday, May 8 at 5 a.m.

  • Complete closure of exit 53 from westbound Highway 20 towards Des Sources Boulevard.

  • Motorists will be invited to take the detour via Saint-Jean Boulevard.

The Highway 520 (Côte-de-Liesse) overpass above Hickmore Road will cause partial and complete closures of service roads as of May 5.

These traffic disruptions will last until the end of 2023. During the complete closures of service roads, traffic will be diverted to the expressways. The expressways’ overpass will be reconstructed in 2024 during the second phase of the work.

As of May 5 until the end of 2023

  • Partial closure of the eastbound Highway 520 service road between Ness and Merizzi roads.

  • Complete closure of the entrance from Merizzi Road to the eastbound Highway 520 service road.

As of May 12 until the end of 2023

  • Partial closure of the westbound Highway 520 service road between Ness and Merizzi roads.

  • Complete closure of the entrance from Ness Road to the westbound Highway 520 service road.

Reminder

  • Long-term complete closure of Hickmore Road for vehicles and pedestrians, between Ness and Merizzi roads, until the end of the work.

  • Complete closure of the eastbound Highway 520 entrance from Hickmore Road.

  • Exit 5 (Hickmore Road) on eastbound Highway 520 is closed until the end of the work.

  • Closure of one lane on eastbound Highway 520, between Griffith and Ness roads, until the end of 2023

  • A free shuttle service offered 24/7 will allow pedestrians or cyclists to cross the highway near Hickmore Road.

Additional closures will be required for the continuation of the project. Traffic disruptions will be communicated by press releases as soon as they are known.
