DDO ranked Third Happiest City in Quebec



The City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux was ranked in the top 3 happiest cities in the 10th edition of the Léger polling firm which draws up, a list of municipalities where people say they are the happiest in the province of Quebec.

With a population of 50,000 residents on a territory of 15 square kilometers, Dollard-des-Ormeaux has 35 parks and green spaces which are currently being refreshed with new, inclusive equipment to accommodate all age demographics and all needs. The Mayor, Alex Bottausci believes that “having green spaces in walking proximity is essential to increasing the quality of life of residents, especially now, during the pandemic”.

Mayor Alex Bottausci is delighted to learn that the residents of Dollard-des-Ormeaux are amongst the happiest in the province. When asked why he believed that the city of Dollard-des-Ormeaux ranked third on the list of happiest cities in all of Quebec, the mayor answered: “Dollard-des-Ormeaux, is an inclusive and progressive city that takes care of all its residents. All our clubs and sporting associations are run by volunteers who are, for the most part, residents themselves. They constantly give us the important feedback which, in turn enables us to improve our services. We are also a culturally diverse city who embraces and celebrates diversity.”

Mr. Bottausci thanked the city employees who work daily to serve residents. He concluded by stating that Council is committed to continuing to maintain and improve the quality of life of all residents through progressive and ambitious projects that will benefit the entire community.
