Pointe-Claire's District 1 residents took to the polls on April 23 to elect a councillor for District 1 – Cedar/Le Village. With a vote percentage of 34.39%, the new Councillor is Claude Cousineau.

The former Pointe-Claire fire officer and District 1 Councillor from 2013-2021 took to his Facebook page to thank voters and his fellow candidates:
"At a time when so many council seats are being won by acclamation throughout Quebec, it reflects well on Pointe-Claire, and District 1, that no fewer than six people stepped forward as candidates in this by-election. I would like to thank the five other candidates (François Giasson, Linda de Witt, Lois Butler, Jeremy Searle and Teodor Daiev) for their efforts and contribution to the democratic life of the city."
Erin Tedford, the former District 1 Councillor who was elected in 2021, resigned in January, citing a hostile work environment.
