An influx of municipalities have opened their doors to help those seeking shelter, a place to charge their devices, or simply to warm up. To verify that the locations are still open, and for opening hours, consult the municipality or borough's social media.

The Dorval Community Centres are open for electronics charging, warm beverages, and shelter. CCSD

-The Kirkland Arena offers shelter, charging stations, wifi, and hot beverages.
-Pierrefonds-Roxboro: Sportplexe Pierrefonds (Sat, April 8, from 8 am to 10 pm.) Pierrefonds Library (Saturday, April 8, from 10 am to 5 pm)
-Saint-Lazare - St. Angelica Room at City Hall
-Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue - Aumais Park Chalet and City Hall
-Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot - The Carrefour Notre-Dame
-Île-Perrot - Community Centre, Michel-Martin Chalet (for showers)
-Vaudreuil-Dorion: The Lionel-Groulx pavilion located on the Cité-des-Jeunes campus, on the Paul-Gérin-Lajoie road, near the filtration plant.
Overnight Services:
1- The Community centre in the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Centre will remain open all night for warming up, for charging of your electronic devices and for a cup of coffee. No beds will be available, but you can bring your own blanket.
2- For Overnight sleeping services, the Beaconsfield Recreation Centre in collaboration with the Red Cross is available for all West Island residents to charge their electronic equipment, get warm and stay overnight if needed.
3- In partnership with the Red Cross, the overnight shelter in-place will serve those without electricity so that they can warm up and spend the night until the situation is restored. Meet at Pierrefonds High School: 13800 Pierrefonds Blvd. Access through door P25 (located on the René-Émard street side).
-Centennial Plaza is open, McDonald’s on Sources is open but there are significant lineups.
If anyone sees an electrical wire on the ground, assume it is live and do not touch it. If there’s a public safety threat, call 9-11. The Hydro-Québec number to call in case of an outage: 1-800-790-2424.
