Flora Exotica and Grand Potager are pleased to invite you to discover an exhibition in the Verdun Municipal Greenhouses for the Lunar New Year! Come and stroll around the Verdun municipal greenhouses between January 23rd and February 5th, 2022 to take a look at our volunteer-made Lunar New Year exhibition. Located in the heart of the George O'Reilly Park on the bank of the Saint-Laurent river, the greenhouses offer a unique setting for a joyful exhibition, that can be admired from outside. Also called Spring Festival, Lunar New Year is celebrated in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Korea, Mongolia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and other countries with significant ethnic Chinese populations like Tibet, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.

Dances and fireworks are prevalent throughout this holiday. Families decorate their houses with fresh flowers, lucky flowers, and lucky fruits. Somewhere between January 21st and February 20th of every year (the Lunar New Year), several Montreal community organizations usually decorate and organize festivals to celebrate the event.

When: January 23 to February 5, 2022 Where: Verdun municipal greenhouses, 7000 boulevard LaSalle, Verdun, QC H2H 2T1 If you are interested in attending, be sure to visit the Facebook event HERE.
