Call for families wishing to welcome Ukrainian refugees

The latest information tells us that roughly 3 million Ukrainians have fled the country due to the ongoing attack from their neighboring country.

Peter Schiefke, MP for the Vaudreuil-Soulanges constituency took to Facebook recently to update citizens on the crisis and the ongoing need for volunteers:

"Over 2 million people have now fled Ukraine due to the conflict and the number is rising daily. Canada now has over 8000 priority applications that it is processing from Ukrainian refugees currently in Poland and other bordering nations wishing to come to Canada.

If you live in Vaudreuil-Soulanges and are interested in adding your name to a list of people willing to accommodate a Ukrainian refugee or family, please send an email to my office at peter.schiefke.a1@parl.gc.ca including your address and full contact information.

My team and I will forward your information to the Department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship."
