Boil water advisories in effect in the West Island

Residents have been advised to boil their water before consuming it.

The City of Montreal has issued a boil water advisory in the West Island of Montreal because of a non-compliant water quality result at the Dollard-des-Ormeaux reservoir.

The borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro and the city of Dollard-des-Ormeaux are affected by the notice. Residents of these areas must boil the water for at least 1 minute before consuming it or using it to brush their teeth.

However, uncoated drinking water may be used for hygiene care or other domestic use.

This instruction is in effect until further notice. As soon as the situation is restored, a notice of return to normality will be issued.

City teams are currently on site to correct the situation.
