Ryan Grainger is a Beaconsfield native whose accomplishments in the entertainment industry continue to make the West Island Community proud. The West Island News spoke with Grainger from Cincinnati as he continues his journey as RuPaul Drag Race's Werq the World Tour Choreographer. We discussed his career's beginnings, the creative process behind Werq the World, exciting projects, and his extensive résumé.
Grainger now resides closer to work in Los Angeles and is signed with talent agency McDonald/Selznick Associates and Brand Model & Talent Agency. You may have seen him on stage or on film dancing alongside huge names like Ricky Martin (One World Tour), Meghan Trainor, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Gwen Stefani, and more!

More than a triple threat, Ryan was also cast in television and film roles, most notably as a Warbler on the sixth season of the hit TV show Glee (Fox). He has made appearances in Netflix programs such as Julie and the Phantoms, and Soundtrack, at live performances of The Voice (NBC) Cirque Du Soleil, and at the Teen Choice, Much Music, and MTV Video Awards! Grainger has even dipped his toe into fashion's haute-couture world, appearing in Milan's Dolce and Gabbana fashion show after-party with drag queen Violet Chachki!
Arriving in Montréal on August 22nd and 23rd are everyone's favorite queens from RuPaul's Drag Race in their RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World Tour. Choreographed by none other than Ryan Grainger, the tour has 83 shows across Europe, the United States, and Canada. They will be arriving at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier to wow Montréal audiences for two evenings.

This tour is not his first rodeo; Ryan was the assistant choreographer alongside Director and Choreographer Jamal Sims and RuPaul Charles for the new Las Vegas residency: RuPaul's Drag Race Live! Ryan has also recently worked for two seasons as the Creative Director for the international talent competition show Pequeños Gigantes, which airs on the networks Televisa and Univision.
