Society tends to tell us that aging comes with a price. But what if instead, it comes with a fancy discount? The good news is, lots of shops and retailers across the West Island offer special discounts for more mature shoppers.

Did you know... You can register for a CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons) membership if you are over the age of 50. Canadians who pay the annual fee of 19.95$ have access to a wide variety of discounts and perks at a vast collection of stores, hotels, and businesses.

Bulk Barn


At Bulk Barn, seniors and students save an additional 10% every Wednesday. Seniors must be 65 years of age and older and must provide valid ID.


Michael's Craft Store


If you are 55 years old or older, you can take advantage of a 10% discount at Michael's Craft store every day of the week. Shoppers must provide a valid ID.

The Bay


Members of the HBC rewards program offer a "Timeless Style Tuesday" discount for seniors aged 55 and older. The discount is valid both in-store and online on every first Tuesday of the month.


Pharmaprix


Did you know, that mature citizens save 20% at Pharmaprix every Thursday? Just be sure to head to the store with your PC Optimum card and you're all set!


ViaRail


There's no better time to start traveling than when you're 60! Of course, maybe hold out until public health says traveling is safe. Once it is, travelers aged 60 and older with a ViaRail account can save 10% on Economy Plus, Touring, and full-fare booking classes. Proof of age is required.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts


If you need somewhere to stay once you reach your destination, be sure to grab a 15% discount from Best Western Hotels & Resorts. Guests must be 55 years old or older and are required to provide proof of age upon check-in.


Marriott Hotels


The Marriott Senior Discount Program is offered to all guests who are over the age of 62. Proof of eligibility for the discount will be requested at check-in. The discount can save you 15% or more.


McDonald's


If you're a coffee-lover, look no further than McDonald's, where seniors aged 55 and older can enjoy 20% off any size premium-roast coffee or tea.


M&M Meats


Seniors who shop at M&M Meats can save 10% every Tuesday when they shop in-store, and every day of the week when they shop online. Shoppers must be 60 years of age or older.
