In 2019, at the young age of ten, Beaconsfield resident Léandre Gaucher's life was forever changed when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Seemingly overnight, he found himself relying on an institution he likely had never heard of; The Montreal Children's Hospital. Now, some two years later, he is giving back to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation in a big way.
With the help of his mom, he hosts community events and online activities to raise funds for a cause that is near and dear to his heart. Activities that Léandre has hosted include a swim-a-thon, an online concert and guessing jar game, and even a read-a-thon with his peers.
Since his 2019 diagnosis, Gaucher has helped raise over 25,000$ benefiting the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.
On Saturday, November 27th, Léandre will be taking part in Beaurepaire Village's Christmas Market, where he will be selling homemade holiday ornaments to raise funds for the Montreal Children's Hospital.
