The 12th Annual Golf Tournament of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, which was held on August 29, 2022, at the prestigious Royal Montreal Golf Club, generated a net profit of $500,000 for the Residence. Over the last twelve years, the Residence’s annual golf tournament has established itself as one of its signature events and main fundraisers. As Dale Weil, Executive Director of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, said following the announcement of the results: “This is a very special year for us as the Residence marks its 20th anniversary. We were excited to finally be back to our pre-COVID tournament formula and are immensely touched by the community’s tremendous support once again. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we can continue our mission: ensuring our patients are living their last days with dignity, surrounded by love, compassion, family, and friends.

The Residence relies on community support and fundraising activities to raise 4 million dollars each year. The community plays a crucial role in contributing the financial resources that allow the Residence to provide its care and services to all patients free of charge. The Residence is extremely grateful to the organizing committee, chaired by Mr. Ted Fletcher, the Founder of Mint Green Group for ensuring the success of this event once again this year. Major sponsors of the event included: The Tenaquip Foundation, The Gustav Levinschi Foundation, National Bank, Broccolini, Mint Green Group, Pfizer, Sports Experts, The Oka & Grégoire Foundation, The Henri Family Foundation, Redbourne Reality Management, Goli Nutrition, OEC Group and Calko Group. Local West Island leaders, Monsef Derraji, MP for Nelligan, Michel Gibson, Mayor of Kirkland and Georges Bourelle, Mayor of Beaconsfield attended the event. MC for the evening was Andrew Carter - the voice of CJAD’s Morning Show and a close friend of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
