Becky Donohue


Becky is a nurse, photographer, & writer. When she's not writing you can find her taking in all that nature has to offer or whipping up a tasty vegetarian meal. She's passionate about equal rights, animal welfare, the environment, mental health awareness, & spreading kindness. After graduating with honors in her BSN program & working as the House Supervisor of a psychiatric hospital, she shifted her focus to inspiring & empowering people to be unapologetically themselves.

Nader is a volunteer for the West Island News since 2017. His passion for the West Island community is infinite. You will find him supporting local  activities, fundraisers, sports tournaments,gala's and even protests. This Pointe-Claire resident is here to serve you to have a better life through transparency and information. His heart belongs to the community.


Dario De Felice

Dario De Felice is an intern for the West Island News. He is 17 years old and is bilingual. He has a passion for journalism and hopes to work in the communications field one day. He also enjoys photography, bike rides, and tech.


Kristofer Artuso

Writer / Correspondent

Kris is a 3rd year communications student at Concordia University. He’s the host of West Island News: Westbound 1-on-1 as well as a contributing writer and correspondent. When he’s not out in the field asking questions that matter, he’s writing music and producing video projects, including his Youtube variety series “Quarantined Tonight”, supporting local Montreal & West Island talent.


Suzanne Reisler Litwin


She is an instructor at Concordia University in The Centre for Continuing Education. Suzanne is a freelance journalist.  She is the author of the children’s book, The Black Velvet Jacket. She lives in Montreal, Canada with her 3 children, Allyn, Taylor, and Duke and her husband Laurie. Alessandro De Luca


Alessandro is a Journalism student at Concordia University, and lead sports writer for the West Island News. He is also an aspiring musician, film enthusiast, and hockey fan. Apart from writing articles, Alessandro writes music with his band Grove, who are set to release their debut album in the coming months.
